Research Report on the Pilot Scheme of Diagnosis-Related Groups Payment for TCM Advantageous Diseases and Recommended Diseases is compiled by the National Institute of Chinese Medicine Development and Strategy of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Through extensive national surveys and in-depth research and analysis, the report designs and proposes a national pilot scheme for diagnosis-related groups payment for TCM advantageous diseases, and recommends the first batch of TCM advantageous diseases suitable for diagnosis-related groups payment. On the basis of extensive solicitation of opinions and improvement by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the National Healthcare Security Administration across the country, the scheme was officially issued and implemented in September and November 2025 respectively. It gives full play to the national macro-coordination function, guides all regions to concentrate efforts and unify the direction, and forms a replicable and popularizable reform model of TCM medical insurance payment.
